Lerch, Early & Brewer, a Bethesda, Maryland private law firm with 70+ attorneys is seeking an experienced Estates and Trusts attorney to join our robust practice. This unique opportunity includes an immediate participation in a significant client base already built and ready for the right person to step in and assume client responsibilities. Having a book of business is not required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in estate planning
  • MD Bar Required
  • DC/VA Bar Preferred
  • Proven experience and knowledge in complex estate planning strategies
  • Experience assisting clients with international issues a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Assist high-net-worth individuals and families with preservation of wealth and administration of estates and trusts
  • Develop gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax plans
  • Develop plans to address business succession, marital issues, creditor and asset protection
  • Assist clients with the creation and administration of charitable planned giving vehicles and charitable foundations
  • Assist executors and trustees in the probate process and the administration of estates and trusts
  • Counsel clients in gift, estate, and income tax matters
