Overview

Michael Smith’s practice is primarily focused on the structuring, negotiation, documentation, due diligence, and closing of commercial lending transactions. He also works with lenders and borrowers in financial transactions involving automobile dealerships, community associations, construction projects, and government contracting.

Michael worked his way up the ranks at Lerch Early coming to understand the law on a mechanical level. Michael is particularly adept at helping close complex transactions and commercial financing deals, and his clients praise him for his diligent, pragmatic, and knowledgeable approach.

Michael’s clients include large national financial institutions as well as local community banks. He has also represented borrowers in a variety of commercial loan transactions.

A California native, Michael enjoys traveling to foreign countries with his wife and two children, and running.
